THE TERRAPLANES BLUES BAND – Live At Temperance

The Brand New Live Album

OUT NOW!

“Hard hitting, stomping, in your face rhythm & blues! The Terraplanes have a real swagger…a natural chemistry and feel for the blues genre”

– Colin Campbell, Blues Matters Magazine

UK Blues Award winners The Terraplanes are back with a brand new release. As part of their 2024 UK tour, the band headed to Temperance, Leamington Spa for a sold out, intimate show to cap off a busy year playing at clubs and festivals around the UK.

The sound of this album perfectly captures The Terraplanes energy and stage craft as well as the relationships between the musicians. The album contains favourite songs from other artists plus a heavy dose of original music from The Terraplanes previous releases, Midnight Train (2020) & Stepping Stones (2022).

The Terraplanes lineup includes Craig Shaw playing bass guitar and Andy Hutt on drums to compliment Nick Scrase (guitar/vocals) & Eduardo Allen (harmonica). Multi-instrumentalist Shaw brings quality to the band with his understanding of how to groove this brand of R’n’B, along with Andy Hutt, with a swing background who loves to play the Chicago style of blues when needed.

This put together with the rasping vocals, slick rhythm guitar from Scrase and the skilful harmonica solos provided by Eduardo Allen, makes for an electric live show and gives you a glimpse of why The Terraplanes are held in such high regard on the UK blues scene.

The quality of The Terraplanes original songs is what sets them apart, showing a real appreciation of authentic blues and British R&B. Great examples are included on this album and the band are very proud to be able to release a record showcasing an amazing night and another successful, busy year for The Terraplanes.

The band would like to thank Adrian Gains at Temperance for his continued support of live music and for recording the sound on the night.

The album was produced, mixed and mastered by Craig Shaw & Nick Scrase at Craig’s own studio, Purple Patch, Bristol. Additional mastering by Pete Bullick of Sound-Discs.co.uk

The Terraplanes, while continuing to gig, will start to now focus on the new material that will make their second studio album. It’s a process they are very excited about with new tracks appearing at their latest live shows.

With dates still ahead on the tour in 2024, The Terraplanes are looking to finish the year strongly and maintain the bands momentum and reputation into 2025 with some great shows already booked for next year.
