 THE TERRAPLANES BLUES BAND

 "Tired, Broke & Busted"

 THE BRAND NEW SINGLE

 O U T   6 t h   M A Y

UK Blues Award winners The Terraplanes Blues Band, hailing from Bristol, UK are set to release their second single of 2025 with their version of  a song by 60's British R'n'B artist Duffy Power. The band discovered the track on a compilation of 60's Rhythm & Blues at the BBC and couldn't believe it wasn't a hit on it's release. The Terraplanes don't record many covers but the members were unanimous in wanting to record and release this tune.

The Terraplanes have put their stamp on it with slick vocals and guitar from Nick Scrase, great harmonica tones from Eduardo Allen and a solid bass groove from Craig Shaw to compliment Andy Hutt's drums. The single was again recorded at the bands home studio Purple Patch in Bristol. Mixed by Criag Shaw & Nick Scrase.

The song was mastered by long time Terraplanes producer Richard Parsons.

The Terraplanes have a sound echoing the 1960's British R'n'B bands with a heavy dose of Mississippi delta blues. The band's brand of hard hitting, soulful Rhythm & Blues has seen them gain a loyal following, performing at some of the best blues clubs & festivals, including a memorable headline show at the legendary 100 club in London and being a main stage headliner at the UK's premier blues festival, Upton Blues Festival, cementing their reputation as one of the most exciting blues bands around.

This new single follows the March release of Monkey Business, both tracks will be part of the next Terraplanes record.

The Terraplanes emerged on the scene in 2020 with the release of their E.P Midnight Train. The first full album came in 2022 entitled Stepping Stones. Both releases hit the top 5 of the UK IBBA independent chart. This momentum saw the band nominated for the 2023 UK Blues Awards where they picked up the prize of 'Emerging Act Of The Year'.

The Terraplanes are now focused on new material and continuing to produce authentic British blues & R'n'B.
